A mineral-rich clay face mask made in England, built on a dual-clay base of kaolin and bentonite to draw out excess oils and impurities without stripping. Cranberry seed powder provides gentle physical exfoliation, horse chestnut seed extract calms inflammation, and green tea and aloe vera soothe throughout. The result: skin that feels genuinely cleansed and balanced — not punished.

Yes - this formula is vegan, with no animal-derived ingredients, and is certified cruelty-free. Our formulations are also free of parabens, mineral oils, sulfates, and silicones. We manufacture in the UK and use high-quality, plant-based ingredients inspired by Cowshed's British spa heritage.

Does this product contain parabens?

No, our full range is free of parabens and mineral oils. Cowshed products are vegan, sulfate-free and silicone-free. We are also gluten-free and certified cruelty-free.

Is this product suitable for sensitive skin?

This formula is designed to be gentle and skin-respectful, using naturally derived ingredients, amino acid cleansers, and botanical extracts that help support the skin barrier. We don't use any sulfates or silicones to ensure our products are non-drying. However, as with all skincare, we recommend checking the full ingredient list and carrying out a patch test if you have known sensitivities.

Is this product sulfate free?

Yes, all Cowshed bath and shower gels are both sulfate-free and silicone-free. We use an amino acid cleansing system that gently cleanses the skin without stripping natural oils, helping to maintain balance and support overall hair health. This helps respect the skin barrier and are suitable for daily use. Our formulations are also vegan and free of parabens and mineral oils.

Really great for clarifying skin

This is one of the best clay masks Iâ€™ve ever used. It feels worryingly tingly on the skin at first but is actually very gently and immediately helped clarify my skin after weeks of long hours at work and lack of sleep had taken their toll. Itâ€™s great for clearing up spots and generally making your skin feel lovely and fresh for days afterwards.
